RuneScape: Dragonwilds Tools
Checklists and how to read tier lists with the walkthrough — not a live calculator.
This hub is the practical layer of the wiki, not a spreadsheet that pretends to know your exact XP rates. RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a survival RPG with region-gated metals, vault cores, and a raid at the end of Kuldra’s Saga. A live DPS calculator would go stale the week Jagex retunes a dragon. What does not go stale is the order of work: roof, craft station, vault, next metal, next hide, next boss. The progression checklist is that order on one page.
Use these pages together. Do not open a tier list, smelt a full S-tier set in Bramblemead, and then wonder why the swamp still kills you. Do not finish the walkthrough in rags because you never looked at armour ranks. The tools exist to sequence the other hubs.
The progression checklist is the spine
Open the progression checklist and keep it beside the region walkthrough. The walkthrough explains how a region works — thirst, vaults, named fights, lodestone placement. The checklist is the tick list: roofed bed, crafting table, reinforced set, bone club, first Vault Core, home lodestone, then clay and kiln, then bronze, then iron, then blightwood, then steel, mithril, adamant, then Scorned Wilderness prep.
Tick a region only when the gear floor is done, not when you have seen the loading screen. Whispering Swamp is not “done” because you walked in; it is done when you have clay production, a kiln, a furnace, Spitfoot knowledge, and the Anti-Dragon recipe in hand. Fractured Plains is not done until bronze and the Velgar altar path are real. That discipline is what the checklist is for.
How to use tier lists with the walkthrough
The skills tier list ranks milestone unlocks, not flavour. Rocksplosion, Axtral Projection, Eye of Oculus, Superheat, Magical Mending, and Agility traversal are the chores that steal hours if you ignore them. Read that list, then train those skills on the skills guide while you move through the walkthrough. You do not need 99 in everything to see Velgar. You do need the spells that delete gathering time before Dowdun’s mithril veins.
The weapons tier list and armor tier list are current-meta ranks for Early Access; 1.0 will shuffle numbers. Pair them with the region you are in. A mithril greataxe ranked S is a Dowdun problem, not a Bramblemead shopping list. Bone club and reinforced leather are the valley kit because those vault guardians fold to crush.
When two weapons share a rank, pick the style you are training. The Builds Hub holds melee, magic, and ranged loadouts. A tier list will not tell you that the mage stays on cloth while melee eats dragonfire in hide.
Skill priority without a calculator
Construction far enough to roof a bed and unlock Eye of Oculus. Woodcutting and Mining far enough to feed the next metal. Cooking so hunger stops stealing combat. Runecrafting so Law Runes pay for lodestone hops. Attack, Magic, or Ranged — pick one main style and keep it ahead of the region. Agility after 0.12.1 is worth courses for stamina, dash, and carry weight, not a 99 before adamant. Farming after Fellhollow keeps food at camp. Prayer is still future content; do not plan 1.0 around a skill that is not live.
What this hub is not
There is no drop-rate solver or auto-updating XP table. Steam Early Access began 15 April 2025; 1.0 is scheduled 15 September 2026. Frozen calculator numbers would lie. Party size does not change the sequence: online co-op is one to four, Shockbyte dedicated up to six. Extra hands speed the same ticks; they do not skip Velgar’s altar or Fuzan.
Start with the progression checklist. Keep the walkthrough open for the why. Use the skills, weapons, and armor lists to spend bars on purpose, then lock a loadout on the Builds Hub.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is there a live XP or DPS calculator on this wiki?
No. These tools are checklists and reading guides. Use the progression checklist with the region walkthrough instead of a fake calculator.
Which page should I keep open while I play?
The progression checklist for ticks, and the region walkthrough for how each biome works.
How do I use the tier lists without wasting bars?
Rank the next metal you can actually mine. Read the skills, weapons, and armor lists against the region you are in, then pick a style on the Builds Hub.
Do I need 99 in every skill before 1.0?
No. Cap 99 arrived with Dowdun Reach so skills can keep scaling. Rush the milestone spells on the skills tier list, not every 99.
