RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0
15 September 2026 on PC and consoles, with the Scorned Wilderness raid.
Jagex scheduled RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 for 15 September 2026. That date is the full launch window for PC and consoles together, not a staggered year of ports. Steam Early Access began on 15 April 2025. 1.0 is the point the studio wraps Kuldra’s Saga, ships the Scorned Wilderness raid, and puts the same build on every announced platform with crossplay.
This page is the storefront and platform brief. Region order and post-launch talk live on the roadmap. Raid prep lives on the Kuldra guide. If you are still climbing biomes, stay on the region walkthrough until adamant and the Trials of Fuzan are done.
Platforms on 15 September 2026
PC 1.0 covers Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players who bought Early Access on Steam keep that copy; Epic is the additional PC storefront for the 1.0 window. Jagex has also pointed PC players at the Jagex Launcher for digital standard and deluxe editions.
PlayStation 5 is in the same window. The official PlayStation trailer and Jagex’s console post say PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play at launch as part of those catalogues. That is a subscription benefit, not a separate SKU.
Xbox Series X|S matches the same date. Xbox Wire and a later Jagex press note put the game in Xbox Game Pass on day one of 1.0. Series S and Series X share the console SKU; there is no last-generation Xbox edition in the announcement.
Nintendo Switch 2 is also scheduled for 15 September 2026. Jagex called out Nintendo Game Chat for party talk while you explore Ashenfall. The Switch 2 edition announced with 1.0 is digital; physical disc talk has focused on PlayStation 5 and Xbox.
Crossplay is the binding feature. Jagex’s console FAQ answers “is there going to be crossplay?” with yes — the aim is parties across the announced platforms. Default online co-op is still one to four players on a session. Shockbyte dedicated servers support up to six. The co-op guide is the practical hosting page: who holds the world, how chests stay sane, and why Construction and Runecrafting specialists still matter when a console friend joins a PC camp.
What 1.0 actually contains
The 1.0 build is not a wipe-and-replace demo. It includes the Scorned Wilderness, the Kuldra raid, and Umbral Sands content (adamant, red hide, sunscorch, Fight Cave / Fuzan) plus every earlier Early Access region. Rune armour is the raid-tier craft Jagex has put on the 1.0 slide. Black dragonhide and ancestral-style robes sit in the same prep conversation on the Kuldra guide.
If you have been in Early Access, you do not start over on Steam. You carry the camp, the lodestones, and the skill levels into the Scorned Wilderness. Console and Epic copies are new platform entries. Jagex’s PlayStation FAQ says progress does not carry across platforms: Steam Cloud covers Steam, but you cannot copy an Early Access save onto PS5, Xbox, or Switch 2. You can still crossplay a Steam character with friends on those platforms in the same world.
Solo play does not require a live party. Jagex has said you can play offline solo and still see Kuldra’s Saga from beginning to end. Co-op is the intended social mode, not a gate on the story.
Price, reviews, and physical editions
The Steam list price is $29.99 / £24.99. On 2 September 2026 Mod Doom confirmed that price does not rise when 1.0 ships. Kuldra’s Saga plus the free updates around it stay at that number. Xbox Game Pass includes the 1.0 console build on day one (15 September). PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogues also include it at launch. During Early Access the game passed one million copies sold and holds a Very Positive Steam rating, around 82 percent. Those figures are context for why consoles and Game Pass arrived on the same calendar as the raid, not a promise that review scores stay frozen after 1.0.
Physical editions exist. Jagex opened Standard and Deluxe physical preorders for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series systems, including a Physical Deluxe box with a Steelbook, embroidered combat-skill patches, holographic character cards, and a cloth map, plus the digital deluxe cosmetics. PC players can buy or upgrade to a Digital Deluxe pack (gilded armour and cape, retro helmets, base decorations). Physical discs trail the digital 1.0 date; treat 15 September as the digital and console-store window, and watch retailers for the boxed ship date.
Deluxe cosmetics do not replace raid gear. Gilded pieces are for the house and the wardrobe. The fight still wants rune-tier defences, antipoison habits from Dragon Slayer, and a party that has run Umbral Sands.
How to spend the days before 1.0
Finish the desert. Sun protection, adamant, red hide, and Fuzan are the real 1.0 checklist, not a second bronze sword. Confirm your co-op plan: Steam friends stay on Steam; a mixed PC and console group needs crossplay and a host who will be online. Dedicated Shockbyte worlds are the six-player option if four slots feel tight.
Read the Kuldra guide for raid prep, the roadmap for Prayer and post-Saga talk, and the links hub for Steam, PlayStation concept, Xbox store, Discord, and Shockbyte. Come back to this page for the date and the platform list; do not wait for a surprise delay post that does not exist yet. 15 September 2026 is the scheduled window Jagex put on Summer Game Fest, Xbox Wire, PlayStation, and Nintendo coverage alike.
