Updates Hub

This hub is the patch index for RuneScape: Dragonwilds. Jagex opened Steam Early Access on 15 April 2025. The 1.0 window is scheduled for 15 September 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with crossplay. If you only need the storefront list, skip to the 1.0 launch page. If you need the region order, open the roadmap. Use this page when you want the story of the patches in one sitting.

During Early Access the game passed one million copies sold and sits at Very Positive Steam reviews, around 82 percent. The list price is $29.99. Those numbers matter because they funded a loud cadence: a major region every few months, plus smaller monthly drops. The survival loop did not reset. You still gather, train skills, clear a Dragonkin vault, plant a lodestone, and walk into the next biome. What changed is the ceiling — steel, then mithril, then adamant, then the raid kit.

Early Access start, April 2025

The first public build dropped you on Ashenfall as an ordinary expedition member. Thirst, hunger, and weather hit before any named dragon. Dragon Slayer against Velgar was the early campaign. Default online co-op covers one to four players on a hosted world. Shockbyte dedicated servers, added later, raise that to six. The co-op guide covers world hosting, shared storage manners, and why one player should specialise Construction while another lives on the rune altar.

The continent climb from that first week is still the spine of the wiki: Bramblemead Valley, Whispering Swamp, Fractured Plains, Stormtouched Highlands, Bloodblight Swamp, then the later expansions. If you are coming back after months away, start with the region walkthrough rather than rereading every patch note.

Fellhollow, December 2025

Fellhollow was the first major expansion, version 0.10. Jagex added a wither-rot region north of Ghornfell, the Farming skill, steel-tier weapons and armour, new vaults, Death and Postie Pete as NPCs, a Terrorbird mount, and the Imaru fight. Access opens after you finish Dragon Slayer. Soul-rift and undead pressure change how you rest and eat. Treat steel as the gear floor for everything that followed. Farming is not optional flavour; herb plots and food stability are what let a four-player camp push further without constant hunting.

Dowdun Reach, March 2026

Dowdun Reach is the Zamorakian fortress between Fellhollow and the desert — the Madness of Zamorak patch, with the Black Knight Titan as gatekeeper. Headlines: mithril weapons and armour, blue dragonhide, a skill cap of 99, and dedicated servers with Shockbyte as Jagex’s partnered host. The fortress is dense. Knights, blue dragons, and mithril veins sit behind combat checks rather than open-field gathering. Cap 99 does not mean you must max every skill before the next region; it means Rocksplosion, Axtral Projection, and Magical Mending keep scaling while you farm the Titan route.

Umbral Sands, June 2026

Umbral Sands is the largest Early Access region. Adamant tools and weapons, red dragonhide, desert vaults, sunscorch, quicksand, the Trials of Fuzan / Fight Cave, and the Fuzan boss all sit here. Sunscorch applies a Scorch debuff that drains hydration if you stand in open sun. Shade, hastily built roofs, and dawn or dusk travel beat it. Do not skip Fuzan because the desert looks optional. The Kuldra guide assumes you have adamant, red hide, and that Fight Cave clear before you treat the Scorned Wilderness as a farm.

0.12.1 Agility, then Scorned Wilderness

Patch 0.12.1 added Agility as a full skill: six timed courses with leaderboards, Kebbit Burrow shortcuts, double jump, an aerial dash, and stamina plus carry-weight passives at later levels. Windstep moved onto the Agility tree. Combat quality-of-life — cycling runes and arrows mid-fight, kinder ledge tolerance, halved jump stamina — shipped in the same drop as The Great Body Robbery, the longest secondary quest in Early Access. Jagex framed 0.12.1 as the last major stop before you face the God-Eater.

The 1.0 package is the Scorned Wilderness, the Kuldra raid, rune armour, and every earlier region including Umbral Sands. Bookmark this hub for patch context, then use the 1.0 launch page for platforms and the roadmap for what Jagex has said comes after Kuldra’s Saga wraps.
