RuneScape: Dragonwilds Kuldra’s Saga Roadmap
Regions, skills, and what Jagex has said comes after 1.0.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds has followed a published region roadmap rather than a mystery season pass. Steam Early Access began on 15 April 2025. The 1.0 window is scheduled for 15 September 2026. Between those dates Jagex shipped three major regions, raised the skill cap to 99, added dedicated servers, and moved Agility into the live skill list. This page is the map of that plan, plus what the studio has said about the years after Kuldra.
Use the Updates Hub for patch flavour and the 1.0 launch page for platforms. Use the region walkthrough when you actually need to walk the biomes. The skills guide is the milestone list that sits under every expansion.
How Jagex paced Early Access
Major updates added a region, a gear tier, and usually a boss or vault cluster. Minor updates, roughly monthly, added quests, quality-of-life, and the kind of secondary content that does not need a new continent. That split matters when you read a trailer: Fellhollow, Dowdun Reach, Umbral Sands, and Scorned Wilderness are majors. Agility 0.12.1 was a large minor that still changed traversal for every region you already owned.
The original 2025 vision letter already named the four expansion pillars: Fellhollow, then a fortress update, then the desert, then the Scorned Wilderness. Names and dates slipped — Prayer in particular moved — but the geographic order held.
Fellhollow
Fellhollow (December 2025, version 0.10) is the first major expansion. North of Ghornfell, after Dragon Slayer, you enter a wither-rot land serving Death. Farming arrived here, along with steel-tier craft, new vaults, Imaru, a Terrorbird mount, and NPCs including Death and Postie Pete. Soul-rift is the regional survival hook. If your camp is still on bronze and iron, do not treat Fellhollow as a sightseeing detour; steel is the floor for Dowdun.
Dowdun Reach (Madness of Zamorak)
Dowdun Reach (March 2026) is the cursed Zamorakian fortress that blocks the path from Fellhollow to the dunes. The Black Knight Titan is the gatekeeper. Mithril weapons and armour, blue dragonhide, and a skill cap of 99 defined the patch. Dedicated servers arrived in the same window, with Shockbyte as the partnered host and a six-player ceiling on those worlds. The fortress is a combat maze, not a gathering field. Finish the Titan if you want the desert without fighting the gate every session.
Umbral Sands
Umbral Sands (June 2026) is the largest Early Access region: a Kharidian-style desert with sunscorch, quicksand, adamant, red dragonhide, Infinity-style robes, extra vaults, the Trials of Fuzan / Fight Cave, and Fuzan the blazing tyrant. Sunscorch withers you in open daylight and the Scorch debuff dumps hydration. Shade, roofs, and night travel are the intended answers. Jagex called this the last major Early Access region before 1.0. The Fight Cave is raid practice, not optional lore.
Scorned Wilderness with 1.0
The Scorned Wilderness is scheduled with 1.0 on 15 September 2026. It is the cataclysm site where anima has torn the ground, the place Jagex has pointed at for rune armour and the Kuldra raid. Kuldra is the God-Eater, the Dragon Queen at the end of the saga. The 1.0 launch page lists PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and crossplay. The raid itself is a prep problem: adamant done, Fuzan done, party roles agreed, then the wilderness. Do not skip the walkthrough and then expect the raid to teach you lodestones.
Skills that moved, and Prayer
Agility was pulled forward into July 2026 and shipped in 0.12.1: courses, shortcuts, double jump, dash, carry-weight passives. That skill is live. Prayer is still future content as of this wiki. Jagex described it as a combat and support skill — bury bones, build an altar, toggle protection and gathering bonuses, refill points at altars, watch for enemies that sap prayer on hit. The winter update carrying Prayer has used the working name Luminance. Do not plan a 1.0 loadout around Prayer slots that are not in the build yet. Track live unlocks on the skills guide.
After 1.0: Kuldra’s Saga wraps, the game does not
Mod Dutch’s July 2026 note is the line to remember: 1.0 is not the end of Dragonwilds. Shipping 1.0 concludes Kuldra’s Saga with the Scorned Wilderness raid. It is the end of her story, not the end of Ashenfall. The continent is still hidden from the rest of Gielinor; ancient magics still block it from becoming a normal frontier. Jagex has called the next stretch a multi-year journey — more skills, quests, regions, bosses, and rewards into 2027 and beyond, with further talk promised around launch and RuneFest.
That is why this roadmap page stays useful after 15 September 2026. The Updates Hub will pick up the first post-Saga patch names when Jagex publishes them. Until then, treat 1.0 as the raid and the platform launch, not as the studio going quiet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What order do the major regions arrive in?
Fellhollow, Dowdun Reach, Umbral Sands, then the Scorned Wilderness with 1.0. Walk them in that order on the region walkthrough.
Is the Prayer skill in the game yet?
No. Prayer is still future content as of this wiki. Jagex moved it to a winter update (working name Luminance). Live skills are listed in the skills guide.
Does 1.0 end development?
No. Jagex has said 1.0 wraps Kuldra’s Saga, then the game continues with updates into 2027. Platform dates are on the 1.0 launch page.
Were there updates between the big regions?
Yes. Jagex ran monthly minor updates during Early Access for quests and quality-of-life, including Agility in 0.12.1. The Updates Hub summarises those beats.
